Update – U.S. Orders Citizens Out Of Niger Delta

Some newspapers are reporting the above. We have confirmation that this is false.

This story was a misrepresentation of the US Consolate’s most recent warden messages and travel warning.

Although the U.S. Consulate�s warnings strongly caution against travel to the region, the U.S. government has not ordered American citizens out of the Niger Delta.
