UK Visas go under an overhaul

Dana Services Limited, one of the companies appointed by the the British High Commission to provide logistics services to visa applicants in Nigeria seeking entry into the United Kingdom, has assured that applicants would be given efficient services.

Hathiramani stated this during the commissioning of the company by the British High Commissioner Mr. Richard Gozney recently.

According to Mr. Jacky Hathiramani, Managing Director, Dana Services Limited (DSL) and Group MD of Dana Group, “we have set up dedicated application centres across the country to provide excellent quality service to applicants aspiring to apply for UK Visas”.

The British High Commission (BHC) explained that it became necessary to bring in a new system specialising in taking of finger prints of applicants electronically and submitting them to the BHC for processing. He called on all Nigerians seeking Visa to patronize Dana Services Limited.

Dana Services Ltd, will be working in collaboration with VF under the supervision of the High Commission.

Dana Services Limited also explained that the use of ValuCards for payment will no longer be acceptable for payments for service services. According to Mr. Bharat Vaswani, GM Dana Services Limited, henceforth all payments should be made to selected GT Bank Branches or at a GT Teller Counter at Dana Services Limited Application centres.

Operations commenced on March 17 at No. 7B, Ganges Street, Maitama, Abuja office and applicants are advised to call 09-2909166 while approval has been given to open the Victoria Island, Ikeja, Port Harcourt and Ibadan offices on Thursday, March 30.

While performing the opening ceremony the BHC announced a temporarily lift on the ban for Nigerians between the age of 18-30 years seeking Visa to UK for the first time.

Similarly, he noted that the long queues that trailed the visa office will no longer be there.

He commended DHL and UPS, who were operating courier agencies for UK Visa application forms in the past 20 months but noted that it was time for change. Selected UPS centres at Kano, Kaduna, Warri, Enugu and Benin City will still accept the applications in tie-up with Dana Services Limited.

He also announced that those wishing to apply on line can access the web-site at: http://www.ukvac-ng.com.
