At about 1000 40 men (estimation) from Ogu-Ikpokiri Community beached with four speed boats at WACT/FOT area. Some of them were armed, shooting in the sky to dispatch Prodeco/Trevi workers, claming that they wanted their share of labor contract.
Navy based at vicinity responded by shooting in the sky while the Intels Mopol Response team were dispatched to the scene.
32 men were arrested and handed over to the NPA Police; they will soon be transferred to HQ Moscow Road for further prosecution.
It is confirmed that it is community/labor contract issue and not any attack by militants lead by Tom Ateke as rumored.
The situation actually is calm and under control while the Police is patrolling PHC- Eleme-Onne axis.
