Rivers Joint Task Force set to dislodge criminals

The joint taskforce set up by the Rivers State Government to fight crime has promised hell for criminals in the state and its environs.
The commander of the taskforce tagged, �97 Special Operations Group (SOG), Commander G. I. Amore stated this when he paid a courtesy call on the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr Samuel Adetuyi in his office in Port Harcourt.
He said the group would co-operate fully with the police to dislodge criminals in the state, adding that the Joint Task Force had brought the forces together to avoid conflicts that would hinder the success on security of lives and property in the state.
The Airforce boss maintained that they were ready to work in harmony with the police, and that he was in the police commissioner’s office to officially inform him of his resumption of duty in the state.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Samuel Adetuyi described the visit as a welcome development as the police and the Airforce are partners in progress in combating crime.
He assured that the police would do everything possible to curtail criminal activities in the state to the barest minimum.
Mr Adetuyi assured the commander that the police would give the Airforce the desired cooperation and necessary information to ensure crime-free society
