Media reports have indicated that the erratic power supply in the country may give way to total blackout nationwide as workers of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) have planned to go on an indefinite strike as from June 30, if the Federal Government goes ahead with its privatisation plan on PHCN.
The government had reportedly stated that PHCN would cease to exist as from June 30 because new owners would take over in line with its reform programme.
The workers are said to be unhappy that the government is yet to involve them in dialogue over the issue
