Industrial Action by Daewoo Workers

Tuesday morning the Train 6 construction site was occupied by a group of Daewoo workers claiming industrial disagreements with their management.

To ensure people’s safety, TSKJ stood down further construction activities on their site.

When a number of the disaffected workers entered the live plant area from the Train 6 site at around 10am, management decided to evacuate the plant area and stand down other non-essential activities for the rest of the day.

Work in the plant area will remain restricted to essential activities only until further notice. However, no restrictions remain in other areas and activities outside the plant area, including non-plant projects, can resume.

At this moment, talks are ongoing between representatives of the workers and management.
