Govt Declares Tuesday, Wednesday Public Holidays

The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, July 5 and Wednesday, July 6 public holidays to mark the Muslim festival of Eid-el Fitri.

The Minister of Interior, retired Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau who made the declaration on behalf of the federal government yesterday, enjoined the Muslim faithful and all Nigerians to extend the spiritual benefits of the Ramadan to their daily lives and contribute to the development of the country.

Dambazau urged all Nigerians to use the opportunity to reflect on the imperative of unity and peaceful co-existence in strengthening the bond of togetherness for a strong and virile Nigeria.
