The Federal Government has declared Friday 17th and Monday 20th July 2015 as public holidays to mark the Id-el-Fitr.
A statement from the Ministry of Interior signed by the Director Press, Yusuf Isiaka Alhaji stated that the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Abubakar Magaji, who made the declaration on behalf of government said the two-day public holidays also signify the end of the Ramadan period.
Magaji thus enjoined “all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, “Which includes love, peace and sacrifice for the development of the nation.”
