FAAN to sack 171 workers

As part of the on-going restructuring exercise aimed at repositioning Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria, the Federal Government has reportedly approved the sack of the about 171 workers, mainly from the Directorate of Airports Operations of the authority.

It was further disclosed that those to be affected include persons not qualified for the job they perform and those with minimal education background.

The planned sacking of the FAAN workers may allegedly take effect from the next one or two weeks.

If this happens, the workers may likely protest the move by FG and it could cripple operational activities at the airports.
