Obama to host Jonathan this week at White House

US President Barack Obama will host leaders from Nigeria and Gabon in Washington, the White House announced Saturday.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan is to meet with Obama on Wednesday at the White House.

Jonathan was inaugurated last month after winning a full, four-year term, following his ascension from vice president to president on the death of his predecessor in May 2010.

On Thursday, Gabon President Ali Bongo Ondimba is to meet with Obama in Washington. Gabon holds the United Nations Security Council’s rotating presidency for June.
