Five people were killed with 50 others injured in an explosion at the Lamingo water treatment plant in Nigeria’s northern central city of Jos, local police said on Sunday.
Plateau State police spokesman, Emanuel Abu, who confirmed the incident, told Xinhua that the explosion happened around 4 a.m. local time on Saturday.
“Those injured were evacuated to a hospital while five were confirmed dead,” he said.
