Yar Adua names 4 new Ministers

President Umaru Yar’Adua Tuesday named four ministers to his cabinet, bringing the total number of ministers to 41.

The new ministers, who were inaugurated during a special cabinet meeting in the capital city of Abuja, are former government secretary Ufot Ekaette, the substantive Minister of the oil producing Niger Delta; ex-governor Achike Udenwa (Commerce and Industry), Dr Mansur Mukhtar (Finance) and Rilwan Babalola (Power).

President Yar’Adua told the ministers of his administration’s “total abhorrence for corruption”, noting that nothing short of honesty, transparency, accountability, the fear of God and hard work would be required of them in the discharge of their public functions.
