Few weeks after Margaret, wife of Chairman of Lonestar Drilling Limited, Chief Humphrey Idisi was kidnapped and released by unknown gunmen who demanded a N1 billion ransom, two expatriate staff of the company have been kidnapped.
Information available to THISDAY showed the men, a Maltese and a Pakistani, were kidnapped by an unknown group who are yet to make contact or demand any ransom.
As at press time, details were scanty, though reports had it that the kidnappers, armed with automatic weapons, overcame the security men attached to the expatriates before taking them away.
Spokesman of the Joint Task Force, Lt. Colonel Sagir Musa confirmed the kidnap but gave no details on how the incident occurred. Also, Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Rita Abbey confirmed the story but said the nationalities of the expatriates were not known.
Efforts by THISDAY to reach the Public Relations Manager of Lonestar, Mr. Mike Ugorji, who was said to have traveled to Lagos on official assignment, by phone proved abortive.
