The State Security Services (SSS) has refuted a news report carried in the Tuesday edition of an Abuja-based daily newspaper to the effect that some Isreali security agents of MOSSAD are present in the country to train operatives of the SSS.
Making the refutal through a statement signed by Kenenchukwu Onyeogu, the department dismissed the report as the imagination of the reporter, saying it lacked the “basic principles of informed journalism.”
Part of the statement reads: “The Service is constrained to clarify that it is not aware of the development and not contemplating such.
The service believes the correspondent who made the claim wouldn’t have presented his imagination as a fact if he had complied with the basic principles of informed journalism…”
