Soldiers invade Bayelsa community

MEN of the Joint Military Task Force, (JTF) recently invaded Tegeleama community in Oluasiri clan in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State in search of the principal actor in the recent killing of seven persons including three soldiers. The military invaded Tegeleama community two days ago in four gun boats and made some arrests in connection with the attack. The JTF Commander in the state, Lt. Col. Chris Musa last weekend declared wanted, Woki Abrafalau, alias Kitikata over his alleged role in the murder of seven person along Nembe waterways. Abrafalau, according to security reports had since the incident occurred relocated to a neighbouring community in Rivers state, but residents from the affected communities are living in fear over anticipated reprisal attack. However, the military, two days ago, in search of the suspect invaded Tegeleama comm-unity in four gun boats. As at the time of filing this report, it could not be confirmed whether there was any casualty, but an unconfirmed report stated that some arrest were made in connection with the attack. A security source told our correspondent that the attack was not aimed at dislodging the residents of the various communities in oluasiri but to fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act. The source stated further that the military would not relent until the perpetrators are brought to book, just as it allayed the fear of the people living in the area, urging them to be going about their normal businesses. Security has been beefed up along Nembe communities in the area, in order to prevent another attack by the suspected militant groups in the area.
