We have received information about a recent increase in the incidence of robbery along Kingsway just prior to the 3rd mainland bridge, these robberies have taken place around 0430 hrs and have involved the use vehicles to block traffic – on several occasions firearms have been seen but there is only one report of them being fired.
We have also had reports of robberies on the route between the toll gates on the Ibadan road and the 3rd mainland bridge, these incidents have been reported as taking place under the cover of darkness and may involve individuals impersonating police officers.
Our advice is that if you are unfortunate enough to be detained during one of these incidents then you should comply with the demands of your attackers and not offer any resistance.
