Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili, has promised that his administration will complete the road that links Omuma Local Government Area of the state with the people of Owaza in Abia State before the expiration of his tenure.
The Owaza-Eberi-Ofe Road was awarded by the Rivers State Government last year and is yet to be completed, barely three months to the end of the regime.
But Odili, who addressed a Peoples Democratic Party campaign rally in Eberi on Saturday, assured the people that government was determined to complete the road before the end of May this year.
Odili said he was confident that the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state, Mr. Celestine Omehia, would succeed him and continue with the programmes of his administration including the completion of the link road.
Omehia stated, �I will not fail you. I will do everything that I have promised you today and even add more when I come into office through your support.�
At a similar rally at Opobo/Nkoro LGA, Omehia described himself and his running mate Tele Ikuru, as students of Odili�s political school who needed no tutorials on how to turn the state around for the benefit of the people.
