A man has been arrested by CPC members in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State for allegedly printing voter’s cards with Direct Data Capturing machine. The House of Representatives candidate of the CPC, Barrister Mouktar Nasale, told our correspondent on phone that the man was caught printing the card from the DDC machine. He said the arrest caused tension in the area, adding that supporters of the CPC were angered by the discovery. He said the tension was doused by the police who arrested the man. The state chairman of the CPC, Alhaji Umaru Shuaibu, condemned the act, calling for immediate investigation to unravel those behind it.
He said the intention of those behind the act was to rig the next election, adding that security operatives should ensure that those behind it are arrested before they infiltrate the system with fake voters’ cards.
