Abductors of Finance Manager, Intels Services, Mr Betrand Ajoku, who was kidnapped last week, have demanded for N500 million ransom.
The hoodlums were said to have made contact with the wife of the victim, who they asked to arrange for the money if she hopes to see her husband again. It was gathered that she was also allowed to speak with her husband.
Family sources said the kidnappers allowed Bertrand to speak English Language with his wife, instead of their dialect.
Family sources said when his wife told the hoodlums that they had no money to pay, she was directed to liaise with his employers who they claimed have a lot of money.
Ajoku allegedly told the wife that his captors were treating him well, but was barred from disclosing where he was being kept.
Contacted, Police Spokesperson in the state, Mrs Rita Abbey, said she was not aware that the kidnappers had made contact and demanded for ransom, but confirmed that the vehicle with which Ajoku was taken away had been recovered.
Ajoku was kidnapped by armed men in front of his house on Thursday last week, while his driver was shot severally, and is recuperating at a private hospital in the state.
