Injured Agip Workers Hospitalised in P/Harcourt

Workers of Agip Oil Nigeria limited injured in the raid of their facility in Brass, have been flown to the companys clinic in Port Harcourt for medical attention
Information available to THISDAY shows that while the whereabouts of the expatriates kidnapped in the attack still remained unknown, the local workers who sustained various degrees of injuries were getting treatment at the clinic.
We also learnt that after the attack, those taken away by the militants who had forewarned of the attack sent a decoy that they were taking the hostages towards Port Harcourt, which is a far way from the point of attack.
This is added to the fact that after attacks on facilities and hostages taken, the militants prefer to take their hostages deeper into the creeks, where terrain would not allow easy rescue.
As at press time, there was increased security around the Agip facility in Mile III, Rumueme, and all attempts to get an official response proved abortive, as they referred us to their Head quarters in Lagos .
