I’ll Turn Delta to Destination of Choice – Uduaghan

Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has restated the determination of his administration to establish the state as an industrial and commercial destination that stands out not only in the country, but in Sub-saharan Africa.
Uduaghan also expressed the desire of his administration to vigorously pursue the project to build Warri into an economic hub and in the fashion of Singapore, an Asian island reputed to be an industrial giant
globally.
He said this while flagging-off the Warri Industrial Business Park, at a ceremony at the Government House Annexe, Warri, yesterday, adding that he was happy “Delta State has become known in a short period of time as an oasis of stability.”
Warri Industrial Business Park project is being pursued in collaboration with an indigenous firm, Arco Petrochemical Engineering Company Limited; with the management team including Singaporean engineering consulting firm, Jurong International KPMG, Delta State government technical representatives.
Arco’s group Managing Director, Alfred Okoigun, said the vision of the project was “to create a world-class business park with security and ultra-modern amenities that will act as catalyst for rapid development and growth of Delta State and the oil-rich Niger-Delta region of Nigeria.
“Singapore today boasts of the third largest oil refinery, yet Singapore does not produce crude oil,” Udaughan said.adding that government’s patriotic zeal and full cooperation of the citizens and the Federal Government would make it happen.
