A fire at Chevron Corp.’s Funiwa field in Nigeria, which started from a gas rig on Jan. 16, may take another 30 days to put out, Andrew Fawthrop, managing director of the company’s unit in the West African country said on state-owned radio.

A rig contracted by the company to drill a relief well to control the raging fire will arrive at the location in “three or four days” and afterward it will take about “30 days” to complete the drilling, he said today on Abuja-based Radio Nigeria.
