There was panic on Sunday evening in Nigeria’s northern city Kaduna after a bomb explosion killed a suspected suicide bomber, police said.
There were two people seriously injured before taken to hospital.
A Xinhua reporter in the city said the explosion occurred at about 6:40 p.m. local time.
A security source told Xinhua that the suicide bomber drove from his house in the vicinity of an unknown place to plant the explosive device when it exploded, killing himself on the spot.
Already, the affected area has been cordoned-off by security agents just as residents of the area scamper for safety. State police spokesperson Aminu Lawan told Xinhua that there was an explosion and men of the anti-bomb squad of the command had been mobilized to where the incident occurred.
No group has claimed responsibility of the blast.
