Militant Islamic sect Boko Haram has attacked the city of Kano again. Police sources said the group attacked some quarters along BUK road in Kano killing several people.
Some residents had earlier claimed that the Kano home of the inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar was attacked by the group killing some six guards at the entrance. However the police commissioner in the state told Saharareporters that the IG home was “not attacked”, he said his team is on the scene assessing the current attacks after which the police command will make a public statement.
