The horrific abuse suffered by girls snatched by terror group Boko Haram has been revealed in a report.
Victims told Human Rights Watch how they were forced into marriage, raped and made to fight or carry ammunition in military operations.
Others said they were forced to work in the camps, cooking and cleaning.
While one said she had to clean the bloody clothes of insurgents killed in the violence in Nigeria.
One woman said she was threatened with decapitation if she did not convert to Islam.
“I was dragged to the camp leader who told me the reason I was brought to the camp was because we Christians worship three gods.
“When I objected to his claim, he tied a rope around my neck and beat me with a plastic cable until I almost passed out.
“An insurgent who I recognised from my village convinced me to accept Islam lest I should be killed. So I agreed,” she said.
Another victim said she was spared work as she had a three-month-old baby when she was abducted.
But she described how the insurgents gave some girls “special treatment because of their beauty”.
Nearly 300 girls were kidnapped in April prompting the #Bring Back Our Girls campaign.
In a video released after the abduction the group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, threatened to “sell them as slaves in the market”.
Earlier this month the group said they would release some of the girls in exchange for prisoners but they have yet to follow it through.
