‘This Day’ newspaper is sponsoring a musical festival this coming Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8, respectively. The venue for the first evening will be the �Polo Grounds�, located adjacent to Awolowo Road in Ikoyi, Lagos; this is approximately � kilometer west of Falomo Bridge. The venue for the second day is reportedly the Planet One Club, located in the Maryland area of Ikeja, Lagos Mainland.
Some earlier concerts involving international artists have been marred by criminal and disruptive activity.
This musical festival promises to attract a large crowd and may present a difficult situation with regard to crowd control and pedestrian/vehicular traffic congestion in the vicinity of the festival venues.
