The Federal Government has declared Monday, March 9, as public holiday to mark Id-el-Maulud.
Minister of Interior, Major-General Godwin O. Abbe, in a statement in Abuja conveying the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government, urged Nigerians to pray for peace and tolerance in the nation.
Signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Minister, Mr.Tope Aja-kaiye, General Abbe called on Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of humility and selfless service to the nation.
