Two Turkish crew members of Marshallese-flagged Turkish ship Aleyna Mercan abducted by pirates off Nigerian, were released Wednesday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Turkish diplomatic sources were quoted as saying that Captain Sinan Taskiran and second engineer Salim Attila Sengul were released and have been taken to their ship.
Both crew members are in good health condition, diplomatic sources added.
The crew members of the ship were taken hostage by a group of pirates some 50 nautical miles off Nigerian port of Onne on April 20.
