5 die in clashes by rival cult gangs in Nigerian city. The Police in Nigeria’s South South Bayelsa State have confirmed the death of five persons following clashes by rival cult gangs.
The State Police Commissioner, Mr. Hilary Opara, said the clashes took place Sunday night in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.
According to the police, suspected armed cult members arrived at a pub in the state capital at about 8.15 pm before shooting and killing their targets.
The police commissioner said his men were working to unravel the mystery over the attack.
