Some Nigerian newspapers are reporting that intensive care health equipment is being flown into Nigeria to prepare for the return of President Yar’Adua to Nigeria. Punch newspapers is reporting that “There were strong indications on Sunday that the Presidency had imported two life support machines for use by ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua, preparatory, apparently, to his planned return later this week.” and NEXT newspapers is reporting that “Associates of the ailing President, Umar Yar Adua, have procured and flown into the country a Ford E-250 Mobile Intensive Care ambulance ahead of plans to bring him home from Saudi Arabia before the end of this week”
Both newspapers suggest that President yar’Adua will return to Nigeria this week regardless of the condition that he is in. They add bringng President Yar Adua back to Nigeria against his doctor’s orders, have become very necessary due to increasing agitation amongst Nigerian who have been demanding that the man resumes his duties or hands over to the Vice president.
All this is alleged to be done to beat the January 29 deadline for the next court hearing on President Yar’Adua’s absence. NEXT said “A northern senator who does not want his name mentioned, said we have all been sidelined but just look at it all, the whole secret is on everyone’s lip, it is not an accident that January 29 was fixed for the next hearing in the Nigeria Bar Association suit.”
The goal is alleged to be that the case will be dismissed once President Yar’Adua is back in Nigeria regardless of his condition.
