The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says its engineers are working to restore its hacked website according to Channelstv.
The website was hacked in the morning on Saturday, hours after the accreditation of voters started.
The Independent National Electoral Commission stated that their website was hacked by a group that calls themselves the Nigerian Cyber Army, Vanguard reported.
The incident took place this morning and the commission has let people aware by posting the matter on social network, Twitter.
After the website was hacked, the INEC dropped the content added to the website by the hacker and wrote: “We will be back soon! Sorry for the inconvenience but we are performing some maintenance at the moment. We will be back online shortly! Site should be back up soon”.
