The Western Ports Command of the Nigerian Police has sounded the alarm that the Boko haram sect is planning to bomb Lagos, with Apapa seaport as its likely target.
The Commissioner of police, Mrs Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison said this during the inauguration of new execs of the Maritime Reporters’ Association of Nigeria (MARAN) in Apapa, Lagos state.
She said the force received the threat three months ago.
“We are not taking the threat lightly at all and we encourage all stakeholders who visit the port to keep their eyes and ears open in case of the activity of the sect,” she said.
