Armed robbers kill 45-year-old expat in Lagos

Suspected armed robbers in the Lekki Ajah area of Lagos State attacked Mr. Srivastava Kumar, 45, an Indian national who later died in hospital.

The deceased was attacked in Eleko Ajah along Lekki Epe expressway while working on a farm. Mr Kummar was stabbed in the chest and hand.

The Indian national who is the plant manager of a food processing company, was taken to the St. Nicholas Hospital on the Lagos Island for treatment. Despite emergency surgery, doctors were unable to save him. The incident was reported at the Akodo Police station .

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, while confirming the incidence said the case has being transferred to the state Special Anti-Robbery Squad for further investigation.

Nwosu said the security man with the deceased on the day of the attack is currently the prime suspect in the murder.
