Port Harcourt Shops - park 'n' shop

97 Aba Road
At Garrison Junction

What review of retail therapy in Port Harcourt would be complete without our old favourite Park ‘n’ Shop?

Some people love it and some people loathe it but no matter your thoughts - we all use it.

Everything from a Deli Counter to a Butcher. Canned Goods to Home Appliances. Home and office furnishings. Cameras, DVDs, HiFis and TV. If you can’t find it here……. Odds are it doesn’t exist in town.

Park ’n’ Shop may be more expensive than Chanrai’s or Everyday but they have a great location and most of us are willing to compromise on price for convenience…….

If you’ve been to their Lagos branch then you’ll know that this is the poor relation of that but…………. they are improving all the time.

They have recently added a clothing section on the 1st floor and opened a whole new floor for furnishings. Books and magazines are now also gracing the shelves as well as a selection of brand name cosmetics and fragrances.

The bakery section in the back has everything from Pizza by the slice to doughnuts and meat pies. They’ll even microwave them for you if you can’t wait till you get home. French Bread, Salt Bread, Special Bread and Whole-wheat to name but a few.

The Croissants and Cakes on offer will keep you at the gym if not on your diet.

They have recently added a computer section on the ground floor. Seems to stock a nice array of the usual brand name laptops and desktops along with printers and peripherals. Also seems to be a good source for cables and cartridges too.

Another new addition is their 'Curry In A Hurry' Indian food take away counter.
