If you didn’t know where to go you would never find 8 Tomba St (the red gate), there are no signs or advertising so at first appearances it is not a good impression. Once you enter the compound the impression is reinforced until you go inside the building.
It is clean but small, only 3 small tables, 1 large table and a couple of high bar style tables so don’t expect to go there for a big night out with a load of mates.
The staff is friendly and the service is pretty good (only 5 minutes for drinks to appear)
Once the order was taken it became clear that the food is being freshly prepared as it took 25 minutes for it to appear. When it did the wait was worth it. I had a onion Bhajis for a starter with prawn Vindaloo with Basmati Rice & chapattis (HOT DAMN HOT) for the main and my mate had Chicken tikka starter and prawn dopiaza with pilay rice & chapattis.
The quality of the food was really good and you could really taste the herbs & spices even through the fire of a vindaloo.
On the whole I would recommend the sit down meal with 7 out of 10 and the take away is just as good.
