Port Harcourt Restaurants - amadi creek

Intel Camp,
Amadi Flats

One of our members - XFactor was so thoroughly impressed by this place that he had to share it with you all. Read on for his review...

The Intels ‘Amadi Creek Restaurant’ as it is known is located very close to the Eastern by-pass round about. You will not miss the huge structure with the massive gates on your left if you are driving towards the Julius Berger base from the Eastern by-pass roundabout. Access to the restaurant is FREE! The maitre-de is an expat lady who will usher you in with a smile. The interiors are warm cozy and done up in pastel colors with pleasantly lighted-up dining space. The ambience of the place is as good as any up-scale joint in the Europe and US. The restaurant is huge and can easily accommodate about 50 to 70 people. It also has a mezzanine cocktail lounge where an automatic Piano keeps humming pleasant tunes played by a ‘Robo”.

The food was simply great. The glass of wine lived up to all the expectations and the bread was fresh and crisp (straight out of the Owen). For main course, we ordered the Chef’s recommended specialty for the day – Hawaiian smoked Pork with Pineapple and avocado sauce served with mashed potatoes. Unfortunately this is not on the menu (I went there again last week looking for it but was disappointed). Deserts – see it and eat it to believe it. Chocolate or vanilla ice-cream served in basket of bread and doused with a chocolate drip.

The only comment I could find to leave with the chef and maitre-de was – “You all have thoroughly spoilt us today”.

The ultimate place to take your boss to before asking him for a raise.
